I know I have been featuring some really great gift ideas and things that cost money, BUT my friend from Houston sent me a really cool web site that I would feel guilty not passing on to you. This company she found is called The Little Author and you can find their web page HERE. What I like about this idea is how unique and special the book is and how once you make one you are saving a lot of space and getting rid of clutter around your house.
The concept of The Little Author is that you mail in your kids art work (from the past however long you have been saving them under your bed or in the pantry and not really sure what to do with them). They professionally scan and digitally reproduce your child’s work and make a book out of their crafts. Artwork can be up to 11″ x 17″ and can even have all the cotton balls, popsicle sticks, raised stickers, etc. They layout the books as if you were buying a yearbook of your kids work.
Some of the obvious reasons to do this would be for gifts for grandparents, teachers, and storing their artwork. Another great way you could use this company is as a gift for a loved one. Maybe if you were wanting to get a special gift for a friend who is sick or having a big birthday, have all their friends make a piece of artwork and you mail them all in as a book for the friend. This is such a clever idea! I had to share with you all. My friend has used this company and was very pleased with how the book turned out and she did get all of the original pieces of artwork back just like she sent them.
