Outdoor Movie Night – Megamind, June 11th

Local Birthday Party Idea @ Firemans Park
Tuesday, December 21st, 2010Since it’s going to be 80 degrees this week and your kids are home for Christmas break, I decided to post about a favorite local park. One of the easiest and most affordable birthday parties I’ve ever thrown was at Firemans Park in Brenham. Last spring I was able to book the antique carousel for an hour for only $25. The children LOVED it! The location was perfect because a huge pavilion with picnic tables is right beside the carousel. They also have a great playground! For more information, click here.

Now the triplets are 2 years old, and to celebrate they had a “milk and cookies” party. Completely adorable! I don’t know how she found the time to do such a sweet and precious party. Inspriring! DIY Cupcake Toppers and Party Favors
Sunday, August 22nd, 2010My super cool sister-in-law told me to search for cupcake toppers on ETSY that you can order and print from a PDF file yourself. I found Winks and Daisies and was set! This mom’s cute shop on-line allowed me to order personalized cupcake toppers for a steal. Once I paid for the PDF, I printed on cardstock and purchased a 2″ circle cutter at Hobby Lobby. Personalized cupcake toppers complete! By the way, they sell icing in a spray can now at HEB. Talk about revolutionary! It was similar to whip cream in a can, but not refrigerated.
I purchased small spice jars from IKEA for party favors. They reminded me of old candy jars, so I had a “thank you” tag made by Winks and Daisies. The 2″ circles fit perfectly on the small jars. They ended up being really cute, although I didn’t realize how many pounds of jelly beans it would take to fill them all!

Gymnastics, Cheer, Tumbling, Ballet and Fitness
Thursday, August 19th, 2010It’s time for fall class registration at the Fitness Athletic Center in Bellville. Check out the website at http://www.facgymandcheer.com/ for the complete fall class schedule. There are numerous opportunities for your kiddos, and they have a new gymnastics and ballet combo class (saves time for the moms!). Katie Koy, an excellent ballet dancer and instructor, will be teaching the new ballet class.
