A Taste of Bluebonnet Country – Monday, November 7th
Sunday, November 6th, 2011Fitness App
Wednesday, October 26th, 2011I just realized that I never post in the “eat” category, and it’s probably one of my favorite things to do! I was completely clueless about how much I was eating everyday until my super smart friend told me about “My Fitness Pal“. This app is GREAT and free! Just establish your profile with how much you want to loose (or gain – for real) and then it gives you a personal daily net caloric intake amount. It takes into account your daily activity level and exercise. It’s great!
New Produce Store – All Fresh and Local!
Sunday, August 21st, 2011Welcome Farm to Market Produce Company to Bellville! Located just off the square near the post office, they are ready to serve you now. Enjoy! Time for healthy eating habits again!

Free Blizzard!
Wednesday, September 29th, 2010Small Texas towns might nothave a Chic-Fil-A, but we do have quick access to Dairy Queen. Blizzards are one of my all-time favorites. They have a mini size now, although I typically get the bigger ones!
Sign up for the fan club at www.blizzardfanclub.com and you’ll get a coupon for a free Blizzard with the purchase of a medium Blizzard. Enjoy!
Kids Eat Free Special
Tuesday, September 21st, 2010Thanks to Jamie for getting us some fun food news to share. Las Lomas in Bellville is under new management and offering a great meal special. For $13.99 you get fajitas for 2, kids eat free (max of 2 kids per table), free queso and ritas are included. When Jamie asked how long they are having this special, they just said all day, every day. It almost sounds too good to be true! With soccer starting this week, it might be the perfect place to grab dinner without cooking on those busy school nights. Enjoy!
Also, are you enjoying the blog? What information are YOU looking for? I want to hear from YOU! Email me at leann@savvymommas.com – I value your feedback. Remember at the end of September one lucky reader will get a $25 gift certificate to Coco & Duckie. To qualify, send me an email or register for blog updates on the bottom right hand of the screen. Thanks for reading!

Bellville Meat Market
Thursday, August 5th, 2010One of favorite things about Bellville is the Bellville Meat Market. There is nothing like great food and excellent service! I work in Houston, and when I say where I live, I immediately get asked about the meat market. It is so well known! The Bellville Meat Market boasts over 28 varieties of fine German Sausage, the freshest and finest cuts of Meat, Deer Processing, Cheeses, Jerky and much more. In addition to their wide selection of meat and food products, they have great BBQ and meat/cheese trays to go. I recently had family over for dinner, and instead of cooking all day, I called Sara at Bellville Meat Market to help. With one call, my food was ready for pick up and all I had to do was put the meat in the crock pot to stay warm. Of course it was delicious and affordable to feed my extended family. They also create awesome gift baskets and seasoning sets. Give Jerrod, Marcus or Sara a call and they will take great care of you! Stop by sometime for lunch and grab a yummy BBQ baked potato. It’s a favorite of mine for sure!
